Southfields Veterinary Specialists is one of the leading multi-disciplinary centres in the UK and world-famous for the treatment of cancer in dogs and cats. As part of Linnaeus Veterinary Group and subsequently Mars Petcare, our advanced cyber security proficiency and our ISO27001 accreditation were essential attributes when Southfields were choosing a partner for this project.

With Design One’s extensive experience in the veterinary industry combined with our technical expertise, we were tasked with developing a system which would enable primary care vets to communicate with the specialist teams at Southfields as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our developers and UX experts worked tirelessly with a very complex brief to ensure that the customer journey was seamless and intuitive, collaborating with the Southfields team every step of the way.

Southfields VetHub is a cloud-based service that enables users to send and receive messages and referral cases from any device, from anywhere. With no software to install, it provides a centralised communication for all vet enquiries and referred cases. The ideal solution for when a vet professional needs a second opinion or needs to refer a case quickly. VetHub has extensive functionality, allowing users to book or appointments, send emails, complete detailed reports, upload large files and images, transfer cases to colleagues in different departments or simply just ask a question via the messaging facility.

With the flexibility to expand to meet the ever-changing needs of a rapidly growing hospital, Southfields have already attracted many new clients, generating a great return on investment. Whilst maintaining and supporting the system and client on an on-going basis, we are already discussing the next phases of this highly successful software application
